This week's artsy fun @ Toad House

We had some lovely times this week-end @Toad House. I have posted three candid photos for you to enjoy. The first photo is of Janelle Thompson with a group of adults who are enjoying sketching and learning Zen Tangles with Janelle.  Janelle staffs Toad House most Fridays until 7 or 8 pm. She invites people to stop by and draw or chat with her. Currently people are stopping to create a bowl, either painting a glass bowl or making a papier-mâché bowl. We hope you will stop in to talk with Janelle and enjoy the beautiful art.

A loosely knit group of knitters comes to Toad House to sit and knit and share their talents and patterns and lives with each other. The Toads are very happy to host this group of interesting women and hope they will find a welcoming home @ Toad House!

Our Saturday mornings are full of Toadally Artys events.  This photo is from the magnetic sticks project. Marcus is also enrolled in "Little Toadlets Hop and Play" with Shaun Jochimsen.  The little Toadlets meet upstairs  from 10 to 10:30 in the second story of the tower with their moms, dads, and grandparents.

If you wish to enrich your lives and the lives of the children you love, we hope you will hop on over on a Saturday morning!

A Brush with Life: A painter's journey in art

We hope you will join us at the ChaliceStream Studio, Sunday April 6 from 2:30 to 4:00 to hear about Chuck's journey in art.

ChaliceStream is hosting this artist symposium on Chuck Mogensen's approach to painting.  Chuck will display seven of his paintings, commenting on the process of bringing them from inception to completion, as well as the journey he has taken in painting over the years.  He will also field questions or comments from the audience.

A very fun visit!

A short two weeks ago, in the midst of a horribly cold, snowy-icy road day, Andrea and I took a little trip to Shell Lake Grade School. Principal, Laura Stunkel, invited us to visit with Mr. Bufo. Here are a few of the photos from our author/illustrator event.
